Swedish massage involves long, flowing strokes and kneading of the muscle with the use of oil or cream. Swedish offers a balance between calming the mind and relieving muscle tension. Pressure varies from light to moderate.

Sports massage combines Swedish techniques with stretching, myofascial release, and trigger point therapy. This modality relieves pain, increases mobility, and promotes recovery. Pressure varies from moderate to deep.

Zen Trigger Point

This unique modality of structural integration created by William "Dub" Leigh with the teachings of Ida Rolf and Zen Buddhism. Trigger point is a targeted form of therapy designed to release blockages in the body. Pressure varies from moderate to intense.

Zentherapy ® aims to return the body to is natural form, free of aberrations caused by physical, chemical, psychological, and spiritual trauma. This treatment takes the body through each piece in succession to create a whole.

Prepare for your Session

To prepare, please hydrate the day before to maximize the effects of the massage. Come in ready to relax and take a deep breath. This modality is usually done with oil or lotion on the skin. You may opt to have work done through clothing, but this may hinder the full benefits of the massage.

Sports

Arrive hydrated in shorts and sports bra or tank top. Sports massage involves some movement or muscle activation so be prepared to be involved in your healing. You will be communicating throughout the session about your body and what it is feeling. 

Zen Trigger Point

This work can be intense, yet very freeing. Zen Trigger Point may evoke memories or release emotions stored in the body. Dress in sports wear and bring water to your session.  You will learn much about your own body through this work and expect to go home with tools to continue care at home.

Zen Body Therapy

Zentherapy ® is done over the course of 10 sessions to realign the body. The first 3 sessions introduce the body to the work and break down the surface. Many will take a break after the third session before deciding to continue the work. Once session 4 has begun it is not recommended to halt treatment as this will leave the body unbalanced.

Session Aftercare

How to Prolong the Benefits

  1. After your session be sure to hydrate and nourish your body. The body has been worked changes are settling in, so give your body the fuel it needs to catch up. 
  2. Take a shower or Epsom salt bath to detox and refresh your body. Hydrotherapy can aid in recovery of muscles and soothe the mind.
  3. Be mindful of your body as it adjusts and pay close attention to when you feel tension.
